Accepted at Loughborough School of Art in 1979 at the age of 15. 
Before graduating from Brighton College of Art in 1984. Then 
serving for seven years as apprentice to international painter T. Vickers. 
Ian has  since exhibited in group and solo shows in London and Sussex.
