The
Lord Nelson is a classic
unspoilt back street local close to
Brighton railway station but just off the
tourist tracks. There are two small and
comfy saloon bars to settle in away from
the hustle and bustle of this
cosmopolitan resort. The 'back bar' area
is an ideal meeting place for larger
groups and is available for functions.
There is a conservatory for those sunny
days and a log fire for those colder
days. This pub is particularly sought out
by the business man and woman looking for
a pub lunch and pint. A good variety of
home-made food. Well worth visiting.
Children are welcome as are well behaved dogs.
Harveys pub serving real ale, cider,
lager and quality new world wines.
We now have a patio smoking area at the back of the pub.

Tom Paine is a premium dry hopped bitter named after the celebrated radical who lived in Lewes in the eighteenth century. America celebrates 'Independence Day' on the 4th of July and in Britain CAMRA has designated July 'Independents Month' in celebration of Britains independent brewers. This strong pale ale was awarded silver medal at the BBI Awards in 1993.
